My Apologies

The Lions head to Harvard tomorrow

As I stated earlier, I will not be able to attend tomorrow's scrimmage against Harvard in Boston. (Yes, Harvard Stadium is officially on the other side of the Charles River from Cambridge and is in Boston proper... take that geography snobs!).

I apologize, but my "day job" does interfere with my Columbia passions from time to time. There will certainly be an official athletic department report on the scrimmage and let's just hope no one is injured. I will pass along any decent info I get from reliable and cleared sources.

Busy Times Ahead

Here's an article about an offensive line prospect Columbia and Harvard are interested in right now. It's hard to keep this in mind when the beginning of our own regular season is so close, but this is the start of a crucial time for recruitment as many high school conferences have already begun their seasons.

Coven is listed as the starter on Fordhams'2 deep, on their site.
Fans please don't read a lot into the Harvard scrimmage today. The defensive side of the ball is really dinged up right now and several players will see little or no action today. There will also be some experimentation going on at the guard slots. So look for the good and downplay the bad until next Saturday.

As a new 1st year family, making the many difficult transitions, and unable to attend games, we would feel completely disconnected to the pulse of Columbia Football without this excellent site.
So Jake, no apologies are necessary. Many thanks to all who contribute such outstanding information. Keep up the good work and ROAR Lions ROAR!!!
