Sobering Story

Well, no one ever said the life of an Ivy League football recruit was all perfume and roses.

Here's a very sad story of one former high school football star who was recruited by Brown and Columbia who is now in prison and probably won't be getting out for a long time:

Gross Injustice

One Who Got Away

Columbia, Harvard, Yale and Army all lost out to Cal Poly in the battle for this recruit.

The story about the young man who is serving 10 years is an outrage. The mentality of a prosecutor who can ruin a young life is sickening. Anybody who reads this blog and has ties to the legal system in Georgia should be sufficiently outrgaed to want ot do something about this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Does anybody think that if this were a white kid at Phillips Andover that this would ever have been persued?

I actually knew about this story for a long time from the reports here at CNN, but I never knew he was an Ivy recruit, (although probably just a casual recruit).

Jimmy Carter should spend some time complaining about this outrage in his native state instead of slandering Israel.

We have a similar case going on with a white male in our community (Illinois).
