Live from New York, It's... THE LIONS!!!!

About 11 current and graduating Columbia football players will appear in a filmed skit for tomorrow night's edition of "Saturday Night Live."

Perhaps it will be a satire of the NCAA's ridiculous suspension policies for BCS teams...

... or maybe that's already too much of a bad joke.

Anyway, you know the time for SNL, 11:30 Eastern, 10:30 Central, but the start time may be delayed if NBC's broadcast of the AFC Wildcard Playoff between the Jets and the Colts goes long.

West Point

Army Invasion?

The Hudson Valley paper, The Times Herald-Record, is reporting that Columbia Athletic Director Dianne Murphy is one of two finalists for the AD job at Army.

Obviously, that would be a big deal.

The report says we probably shouldn't expect a decision until Tuesday.

And it's too late to replace her with Jim Harbaugh! Darn.

Lot of West Point chatter, but the Talk of the Town last night was the Columbia Men's wrestling team's 20-13 victory over the cadets. Way to go Lions!

Jake, what happened with the Saturday Night Live gig? I sat up late to watch this and didn't see any of our guys.
