Shalbrack a Campbell Trophy Semifinalist!

Senior safety Andy Shalbrack has been named to the list of semifinalists for the trophy newly re-named in honor of Columbia football great William Campbell '62.

Selected as the best and brightest from the college gridiron, The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) compiles the list each year.

From the NFF announcement:

"Nominated by their schools, which are limited to one nominee each, semifinalists must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have outstanding football ability as a first team player or significant contributor, and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship."

The full list of the semifinalists is here.

if he wins, let's not invite Kanye West to the award ceremony

but congratulations are in order for Mr. Shalbrack, not only an ivy league scholar/athlete - but an overachieving scholar at that.
