Hunks R' Us!

File this one under: "I'm not sure this is good or bad publicity, but it's probably good and I'm just too old and too much of a dad to be sure."

The New York Post is reporting that ESPN hottie Erin Andrews, (yes THAT Erin Andrews, who was recently the victim of a slimy hidden camera peeping Tom), did a sexy photo shoot for GQ featuring some hot poses with members of... yep, the Columbia University football team!

The picture above is literally a bit too muddy for me to tell for sure which players are in this shot, but that is rising sophomore left tackle Jeff Adams sitting to Andrews' right.

The other two players are just not looking at the camera directly enough for me to be sure, but maybe some of you readers can help me out by clicking on the picture for an enlarged view.

UPDATE!!! Here's pic number two with a lot more players recognizeable:

UPDATE #2! NOW THERE'S A VIDEO OF THE SHOOT AT WIEN STADIUM!!!

And those are muddied-up Columbia uniforms and helmets in use.

Can we use this as a recruiting and ticket-selling tool?

Why not?!?

One thing I do know: This is really going to steal the thunder from my upcoming sexy photo shoot with Phyliss Diller.

Jake,

Phyllis Diller commented she would NEVER pass up a photo shoot with you, especially the scantily-clad one she has in mind.

Maybe the Lions will get some inspiration from Erin Andrews and
whip all 10 opponents in her honor.
But I wish they hadn't turned the blue jerseys almost entirely brown.

If this resulted in a big fat fee to the football program or even the University in general (and was of course accompanied by the requisite nods of approval from Coach Wilson and Dr. Murphy), it's really fine and harmless.

Nonetheless, ESPN's announcing staff has a long, smarmy history of slavering over both violence and sexism. All those "all jacked-up" comments, for example, and the poking of each other in the ribs in "boys will be boys" type situations. And Erin Andrews in such a situation is a bit odd so soon after she "protested"(a but too much?) over being photographed uniwttingly and in the buff.

There was a time back in the 60's when CU's Blue Key Society used to regularly serve as models for "Esquire's" annual fall fashion preview, too. But I have no idea what, if anything was the fee arrangement back then.

I think I speak for the entire male sex, when I say Ms. Andrews is a fine - football player and a gorgeous woman. I think the program is to be commended for allowing or setting this up ... let's hope it does not give fodder for our opposing linemen come the season!

I like that they all come off of our fake grass field with all that mud on them!

Lion and now Ms. Andrews Fan
