Second Time's a Charm?

Ian Hillman, #66

Wayne Hills High School linebacker Mike Waller has made a verbal commitment to Columbia. If his name sounds familiar, it should. His older brother Tim was also about to come to the Lions last year, but decided to go to Georgetown in the end.

Joining the younger Mr. Waller is defensive end Ian Hillman from Germantown, PA. Apparently, Hillman fell in love with New York City. It's nice to know this city still holds that allure.

Are the players named so far on this site as coming to Columbia early admission applicants who were in fact accepted? (Meaning, I suppose, guys with parents who can afford four years at Columbia without benefit of financial aid?)

I'd appreciate this being cleared up. Not least because schools like Harvard and Princeton have, in their comparative wisdom, abolished the process of early decision.

Who is recruiting #66 in that picture? He looks like he can step into the rotation on the DL tomorrow.
