Sign up And Watch! (2008 edition)

There's no time to waste if you want to catch all the great Columbia football action on the SideLion Pass this season! Oh, and it's the best way to catch my color commentary along with the vastly superior play-by-play work from Jerry Recco.

Just go on the Columbia Athletics site and sign up in the box on the right hand side. There's a SPECIAL BONUS right now if you sign up: a 2007 season highlight video produced by Joe Case. It's his usual excellent work.

Tickets!

I've been meaning to write about this, but I received my season ticket packet in the mail last week and it was pretty cool! Lots of cool pocket schedules and the tickets have some great pictures on them. Here are a few more highlights from the "Guide to Football Saturdays" pocket map and guide that came with the packet.

-Game programs will again be FREE this season for ticket holders.

-The beer is back! Ticket holders with ID get one free beer per hour just like 2006 and 2007.

-Season ticket holders and their guests get, (1 per ticket holder), invited to a pre-game cocktail party before the opener against Fordham.

There's more good stuff too. I assume it's not too late to order your season tickets, so you should really do it.

Look, with PSL's and the generally rising prices for sports tickets these days, you can't beat a deal that gives you an entire season of football for less than $100!

Scrimmage Scrum

I know a lot of you are anxious for news from the Brown scrimmage. The truth is, I haven't heard anything either and I was unable to attend the scrimmage myself. The good news is we're just 12 days away from the season and if everyone is so starved for information and news... then channel that enthusiasm into signing up for the SideLion Pass so you can be guaranteed of finding out everything you need to know DURING the ACTUAL season!

If we sign up for a monthly today, or well before the season starts, we waste money. Those subs begin upon sign-up, not when the first live event is available.

Well, there are a lot of reasons to sign up now and stay signed on all year. You get access to all the archived games and highlights year 'round, and the stuff they're adding on the site now like last year's highlight film by Joe Case make it worth it.

Also, it's just 12 days before the season... not such a stretch.
