Homecoming Fodder?
Dartmouth has released its pocket schedule for the 2007 season, and Columbia will be the Big Green's homecoming opponent as has been the case for some time now whenever the Lions travel to Hanover. This is not necessarily an insult as we are the only Ivy home game for Dartmouth in October, and waiting until November in New Hampshire for a homecoming weekend can be a little rough on the Alums from warmer climates.
On the other hand, the Big Green clearly expects victory against the Lions, and it's up to Columbia to play the spoilers. After winning two games in a row at Memorial Field in 1998 and 2001, (the '99 and '00 games were at Wien Stadium), Columbia has lost two tough ones in a row in Hanover, 26-21 in 2003 and 17-6 in 2005.

You can't blame schools for targeting CU as an easy homecoming win, but hopefully within a couple of years that will no longer be the case.
I would not worry about being targeted. We will be much better than Dartmouth this year.
Ruining someone else's homecoming can be fun, that's for sure.
Much better than Dartmouth? You're kidding yourself. Yes, Columbia will be good but it will surely be another close game. Keep in mind that the defensive scheme will be not be surprise to anyone this season.
This is a big year for Teevens to prove he didn't come back to Dartmouth simply to ease away from the pressure of life in Division IA. I expect Dartmouth to be better, but the College administration may not care as much as I do, and I'm a Columbia fan.
after fordham the defense wasnt a surprise either everybody in the league studies film they all knew what was coming.
We should have beaten Dartmouth last year; it was probalby our worst performance. I think we had better personnel and the D just didn't play as well as it was capable of playing.
I agree, it's not as if the other Ivies didn't have film of the defense last year also. I think the defense was just well designed and played very well also. It's not like anyone waits until the next year to figure out how to play against an opponents defense, so I don't think that there's much of an excuse there.
