#42: Fumble Fest!

There's fumble-itis and then there's fumble-itis.

What we saw happen to Dartmouth in one stretch of the 4th quarter of the Homecoming game at Wien Stadium last October was truly shocking.

First, the Green fumbled the ball away to Columbia on a bad pitch just when Dartmouth was about to score and seemingly put the game away.

After the Lions got a quick TD after that mistake, Columbia's Greg Guttas kicked the ball off to the Big Green's T.J. Cameron who promptly fumbled the ball away at the Dartmouth 25. Nick Mistretta recovered.

But wait... there's more.

Three plays later, the Lions faced a 3rd and 6 at the Green 19. But QB Sean Brackett was sacked by Charles Bay and he lost the ball. Dartmouth's Eddie Smith recovered at the 26.

But wait... there's more.

On the Big Green's next play, RB Nick Schwieger had the ball stripped from him by Columbia CB Kalasi Huggins and DE Josh Martin recovered his second fumble of the quarter.

The game had just seen four lost fumbles, three of them by Dartmouth, in just over six minutes.
