#76: Hamilton Strikes Back


Columbia players and fans were certainly disappointed to find themselves trailing, 7-0, to what they thought was a very inferior Princeton team early in the second quarter.

But that bad feeling was erased almost immediately by a spectacular kickoff return by Craig Hamilton.

Hamilton received Patrick Jacob's kick at his own 3, found an opening up the middle, and then exploded along the west sideline for a 50 yard return before being knocked out at the Tiger 47.

The return energized the crowd, and it turned out to be a major turning point in the game.
