Hunting for a TE
The Shreveport Times reports that 6"4 230-pound Loyola College Prep senior Hunter Coleman is heading to Columbia.
Coleman is the first person from Loyola to go to an Ivy to play football.
He starred on the defensive line, but reportedly is being asked to play tight end at Columbia. His father played at TE for Louisiana Tech.
Could this be the beginning of a Louisiana pipeline to CU?

Info on him looks good and considering that Harvard also talked to him this could be a really good catch.
Jake, everybody else seems to have blogged a lot more recruits than we have. Any info on how our guys are doing?
Keep in mind that we apparently got eight kids off early decision, including several good ones, and only one of the eight has been publicly reported. So that alone makes 14 commits, and I suspect the number is much higher. Also, note the increasing CU recruiting trend to go more head to head against the Ivies, if more so non-H-Y-P, and succeed. Apparently we got burned last year with a kid switching a commitment, so keeping a lid on is probably more paramount.
Jake,
Two new WRs -- check out H Shannon's recruiting report (both confirmed)
Jake, Scout.com is reporting that two more outstanding players have committed to Columbia, namely Joey Andrada, a 6'3", 190 pound wide receiver from Piedmont, California, and Brian East, a 6'3" 205 pound outside linebacker from Carmel, Indiana. Andrada, who has 4.5 speed, was a 1st Team, All-Bay Shore Athletic League Selection. East, a standout defender on a strong Carmel team, is a First Team All-Indiana selection. Good luck to Joey and Brian and welcome to the Lion Football Family!
