According to Rivals.com, one of the players on your list, Alex Thomas of Ansonia, Connecticut, has already committed to Yale. Matt Coyne of Bristol, Connecticut is a talented quarterback who was twice All-State. Rivals.com has reported that Peter Badovinac of Loyola Academy in Illinois is still another talented quarterback interested in Columbia--Des Werthman attended Loyola Academy. Finally, Rivals.com has reported that offensive tackle Alex Misialek of Crystal Lake, Illinos is interested in Columbia.
Ryan Haslett QB from Holmdel High School in New Jersey commits to Columbia. Here is the article:
As we get closer to National Signing Day, more and more players across the Garden State will be making their final college decisions. Joining this group recently was QB Ryan Haslett of Holmdel (NJ), who decided to end his recruitment after an official visit last weekend.
Haslett committed to Columbia
Haslett, 6-foot-3 and 205-pounds, led Holmdel into the State Playoffs this past season as the #1seed in Central Jersey Group II, but a loss in the semifinals to Rumson-Fair Haven unceremoniously ended the Hornets' dreams.
With his full attention on his recruitment once his season concluded, Haslett took his first official visit last weekend to Columbia. His trip to New York was all he needed, as he committed to the Lions at the end of his visit.
"It was awesome," said Haslett. "The campus is in a great location and the coaches are outstanding."
So what made Haslett end his recruitment before taking any other visits?
"I committed because I felt that this was the best place for me to get my college education and play the sport I love," said Haslett.
Aside from Columbia, Haslett was also receiving heavy interest from Monmouth, Wagner, Bucknell, Lafayette, and Holy Cross.
"I had visits set up with Monmouth, Wagner, and Bucknell, but I called to cancel once I committed to Columbia," said Haslett.

Great news. Columbia Football is flourishing in the Garden State! Congratualtions to Ryan Haslett and his family.
Appears to be a good runner (1150 yds) with good size, but can't find his passing stats, although he's described as a pro style QB.
Dr.V
He made all-something New Jersey as a "Utility Player," so he's probably more known for his all-around athletic skills rather than his passing. Over a 1000 yards rushing for a QB is certainly notable -- if he is or becomes a good passer so much the better.

Who is already in as early admit?
"Utility Player," does not sound as good as "Athlete" which is the term used by the national recruiting services to describe high school football players who are recruited because of their outstanding athletic skills rather than their ability to play one position. Ryan Haslett certainly seems to fit the description of an outstanding "Athlete" as he ran for over 1150 yards from the quarterback position last season which is quite an achievement, specially if you are 6'3", 208, and capable of running the 40 in 4.72 as Rivals.com indicates. This young man appears to be a very promising recruit, indeed, for the Lions.
Sorry, I believe I meant to say "athlete." Your perspective is certainly encouraging.
