Week 8 Predictions

Jake's record last week: 2-1

Jake's record overall: 25-8

Dartmouth over Cornell

The Big Green are getting into stride right now, playing good teams tough and worse teams even tougher. Cornell is still having road woes, but this year the Big Red defense is a lot weaker on the road and at home. It doesn't help that this game is on the road.

Yale over Brown

This game could be the highlight reel for the season as Brown's passing game will surely test the Elis. But Yale's defensive line is strong enough to force enough mistakes out of the Bears to seal a win.

Penn over Princeton

Penn is playing so much better at home and the Quakers will eke out a win over a Princeton team that seems to have forgotten how to play defense.

We need to see Stoll out of the backfield; flare passes, inside run s, etc. Wake up coaches! He is another Pete Hartigan.
Maybe faster.

ITS ERIE HOW THE JETS AND COLUMBIA ARE SO SIMILAR. they both had great years under new head coaches last year. there both 1 win teams who won on the same weekend (both scoring 31 points). weekend of 11/17-11/18, lions play brown(05 champs) jets play steelers (05 champs). Both had down years last year! columbia took an early 7-0 lead in dartmouth and lost just like the jets did in cincy that same weekend!!!!! both had low scoring first halfs last weekend and lost in the 2nd. plus they are both home or both away on the same wwekend!!! ERIE!

Why are you comparing the Lions to a lake? The word is eerie.

A 'lake of darkness,' perhaps. Where we are all anglers not catching much this season. (It's the title of a Ruth Rendell novel, from "King Lear."

But I really don't think the Jets and the Lions are eerily similar. For one thing, we have a much better QB, and probably much better personnel in general in our own league on a comparative basis. We certainly have a head coach who relates much better to his players.

Last Week 3-1 ATS
Overall 28-12 ATS

Another interesting week with some teams getting big pt spreads. I'll take:

Princeton +5
over Penn

Penn is going nowhere

Yale -17
over Brown

Yale should have no trouble covering

Dartmouth +2
over Cornell

DC is having a very nice season

Columbia +20
over Harvard

Columbia played Yale tuff last week and I hope they left something in the tank for Harvard
