Dumped

Dartmouth 20 Columbia 7

Columbia's offense was virtually non-existent again, and the Big Green rode key scrambles from QB Mike Fritz to gain their first win of the year.

Two key plays sealed the Lions fate. On Columbia's first play from scrimmage, Jordan Davis fumbled the ball away at the 25. Dartmouth recovered and scored a TD moments later.

And on the final play of the first half, Columbia's Austin Knowlin was tackled just shy of the Big Green goal line and time ran out.

The only bright spot for Columbia came late in the second half, when frosh QB M.A. Olawale took over and showed his incredible running ability. Will he start next week against Yale?

Give credit to Dartmouth's defense and their opportunistic offense. This is a well-coached team.

In your "More Later" don't forget to mention the poor clock management, play selection, "too little too late" qb substitution.

"[Dartmouth] is a well-coached team..." We weren't yesterday. But I'm convinced that Norries is a good coach. So, what happened?

We need to go with Millicent; he can spread the defenses. His passing was not impressive, but he was throwing into a very strong wind. We also need to get Stoll out there; I like what I see of Rangel and I think Knowlin is a great player. Taylor Joseph also looked good.

at any rate the freshmen seem to be making a big impact early- other '10 starters included shalbrack, miller, masorti, seiler, and maybe others. all seemed to have good games

I have to agree with all these comments so far. As for explaining why I still think Wilson is a good coach... well, the fight was still evident in this team down to the wire and he's getting a lot out of a little. We still haven't been blown out either.

Taking responsibility for miscues does not automatically bestow good judgement.

Coach Wilson continues to have the respect of the players. Right now they'll walk through a brick wall for him. However, how long will they stay loyal if he continues making the mistakes he's paid to avoid?
